When the dream changes…& how to reframe it
Isn’t it funny how, as kids, we dreamed of the “arrival”?
The degrees.
The job titles.
The shiny front door to the house with the matching mailbox.
We thought those things were the dream.
But really, they were just placeholders.
What we actually wanted was to feel safe.
To belong.
To feel free and alive and wildly, unapologetically ourselves.
No one tells you this growing up, but so much of adulthood is realizing you never actually wanted the thing you thought you wanted—you wanted the feeling you thought it would give you.

“Snatched” - what is really being snatched from you?
The obsession with body contouring and “snatched” trends fuels an unhealthy culture that equates worth with unrealistic, often digitally altered, ideals. This toxicity pressures women to chase perfection through extreme measures, overshadowing the beauty of natural curves and individuality. It encourages comparison, insecurity, and sometimes harmful practices, rather than fostering self-love and confidence. At Sunflowers In Sunshowers, we believe true empowerment comes from embracing your unique body while healing from societal standards that limit your potential to flourish authentically.
